The Sanctuary of Madonna della Rocca in Taormina is a historic and charming place of worship, located on a hill just a short walk from the city center. The church was built in the 13th century on a cliff overlooking the sea, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the Sicilian coast.
Legend has it that the church was built in honor of an apparition of the Virgin Mary to a local shepherd. Since then, the Sanctuary has become a pilgrimage site for the faithful, who come to pray and pay homage to the Madonna.

One of the most interesting features of the church is its panoramic position on the city of Taormina, offering a breathtaking view of the Sicilian coast and the Ionian Sea.
