Here, you can immerse yourself in Sicilian tradition by visiting the Cathedral of Maria Santissima Annunziata, which has undergone several modifications over the centuries but has maintained its original Baroque style. This church was one of the two used in the wedding scene.
But the most evocative stop on the tour is undoubtedly the visit to the Castle of the Slaves in Fiumefreddo. This villa, located in the splendid setting of Mount Etna, was the setting for one of the most thrilling scenes in the film, the one in which Apollonia dies in the car explosion. The castle, built in 1870 by Baron Pietro Schiavo, has recently been restored and presents itself as a beautiful residence that offers a breathtaking view of the sea and Mount Etna.
